2007

EMEA Recruitment was founded in 2007 by Paul Toms and his wife Kelly, initially focusing on Finance & Accountancy Recruitment. Having worked within International Recruitment for over 18 combined years, their aim was to build a recruitment company that offered something different to existing recruitment businesses - giving clients and candidates a genuine reason to use EMEA Recruitment ahead of their competition.

2009

Paul Macildowie (ACA) joined EMEA Recruitment as Chairman. Paul has a track record of success in the financial recruitment industry and has demonstrable business acumen. Paul was founder and owner of Macildowie Associates, a financial recruitment company which he founded and later sold in a multi-million pound deal after 15 years of management and ownership.

2011

Swiss Director, Brad Daniel (ACA), was appointed. Brad assists with the commercial development of EMEA Recruitment GmbH in Switzerland and was instrumental in opening the Zug office.

2012

Richard Bailey joined as Managing Director. Richard brought with him many years of Finance & Professional Services recruitment experience. His focus has been to support the highly ambitious growth plan of the business - further developing our offering and strategically developing new complementary markets.

2013

HR Recruitment Division is launched. This division now has teams in Switzerland and the Netherlands and is managed by Keeley Cunningham

2015

EMEA Recruitment launches Procurement & Supply Chain and Operations Divisions, led by John Byrne, now Associate Director. John takes a lead role in expanding our client base in this discipline.

2016

A dedicated Attraction & Development Consultant, Laura Henderson, was recruited into the business, acting as an Internal Recruiter to help EMEA attract the best recruiters in our market. Laura also takes responsibility for on-boarding and providing each new employee with a consistent training/development program which aligns with our EMEA Values.

2018

Michelle Ewing became our first Division Director. Michelle currently has responsibility for managing our Switzerland Finance Recruitment Team.

EMEA LIVE was introduced to the EMEA Recruitment website, providing an easy to use virtual meeting room service for both clients and candidates. Meetings and interviews can be recorded and, with permission of the attendees, the meetings can be shared with clients instantly. 2019

BI & Data Division was launched in Switzerland, in response to client demand. With multi-nationals embracing and utilising big data and data analytics principles, we are thrilled to launch a specialist division to focus on servicing these recruitment requirements.

Mark Dowsett joins as Country Director for Switzerland. Mark brings with him many years of experience in recruiting in the Swiss market and will oversee all disciplines for our Swiss division. As Mark moves into this role, we plan ahead to an exciting move for Michelle Ewing early in 2020, when she will become Country Director for The Netherlands!
