Zurich, Switzerland


In collaboration with our client, a market leader in the consumer goods sector, we are seeking a Global Procurement Manager - Marketing & Media for their office in Zurich, Switzerland. In this strategic role you will operate in a senior leadership capacity delivering cost reduction programs for the category on a global scale through the implementation of best practice and management of procurement activities. As a Global Category Manager you will adopt and drive a continuous improvement mindset whilst liaising and managing with sourcing managers on a global scale including those based both locally and in a business services centre.


Reporting directly to the SVP of Procurement of the business, the Global Procurement Manager - Marketing & Media will ideally have solid experience within Marketing, Communications, Digital and Retail sourcing with specific experience of liaising with creative & digital agencies and purchasing of programmatic media. The successful candidate will have the scope to own the category management with the responsibility of creating and implementing strategies in line with the wider procurement aims of the business. You will be proficient in stakeholder management with the ability to identify purchasing and supplier risks before reporting them as appropriate. Furthermore, you will possess a customer centric mindset and show awareness and understanding of the target consumer and their experience.


As a Global Procurement Manager - Marketing & Media we are looking for high calibre candidates with the following skill sets:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience in a similar position covering Category Management responsibilities
  • Procurement expert with experience of operating on a global scale with a drive to deliver best in class purchasing methods
  • Ability to cover and take on of additional subcategories that are not covered by existing category policies
  • Strong influencer who has the readiness to identify cost reduction opportunities with the aim of achieving service targets with respect to quality, costs and time
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken, German would be desirable but not essential
  • Accustomed and knowledgeable in using SAP system and related software
