Job Description

We are pleased to be working exclusively with a growing Service sector business who are looking for a Head of HR Administration & Payroll. The company have gone through significant growth and are continuing to grow globally. They have an innovative and relationship building culture.


Head of HR Administration & Payroll, Zurich, Switzerland


Reporting into the Chief Finance Officer you will play a key leadership role and provide hands on HR partnership and guidance for a population of 900 people across two sites in Switzerland. This is a pivotal role for the organisation and will be fundamental in developing the current HR team.



  • Advise managers and team on basic Swiss employment law
  • Day-to-day relationships with insurance companies and pension plan provider (KTG, UVG, BVG)
  • Work-visa applications
  • Oversee travel expense reimbursement
  • Oversee working hour documentation and compliance
  • Work with internal and external consultants to improve system integration
  • Highlight and address any compliance or control issues


Person Specification:

  • Need to have solid experience working with HR & Payroll in Switzerland
  • Previous experience of managing and developing a HR team
  • Ability to work in a diverse business with a collaborative attitude
  • Must be hands on and of a proactive nature
  • Fluent German and English (corporate language is English)
  • Accounting experience would be helpful but not essential
  • SAP and/or Salesforce experience would be advantageous
