Tax & Projects Specialist

Zug, Switzerland

 

Our client, a large, fast paced and international organization is looking to recruit a Tax & Projects Specialist to join their team in Zug. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business where Tax is a driving force and offers the right candidate the opportunity to diversify their skillset with a range of projects and interdisciplinary work.

 

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with at least 2 years' experience within Tax Accounting.

 

The responsibilities of the Tax & Projects Specialist will include but will not be limited to:

  • Tax reporting and compliance for all legal entities (Swiss)
  • Working with the Tax manager to deliver Global tax planning
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting including tax rate reviews, tax basis balance sheets, pre close
  • Collaboration with the Transfer pricing team
  • Tax audits
  • VAT
  • Project work including M&A, Corporate transaction projects and legal issues
  • Liaising directly with the local tax authorities, building strong relationships

 

Requirements of the Tax & Projects Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience either within industry or Big 4
  • Advanced understanding and experience in Tax Accounting and Swiss GAAP
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss tax law
  • Fluency in English and professional proficiency in German
  • Advanced user of Excel and other accounting packages
  • Ability to work under pressure, with detail and accuracy
