Job Description

This is a newly created opportunity for an Accountant to join our international client based in their head office in Zurich. They are a fast-growing and innovative business looking for a German-speaking Accountant to join their Finance team. As a Financial Accountant, you will be reporting directly to the Swiss Head of Accounting, interacting with their global staff with the potential to take on reporting responsibility for the AR Accountant

As the Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting under IFRS
• Driving the development for process optimisations and streamlining process
• Handling General Ledger Accounting for the Swiss entity
• Responsibility for Swiss Tax and VAT declarations
• Assisting with group strategy and budgeting process
• Coaching and management of AR Accountant

The skills required:

• Relevant Accounting qualification would be preferred
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, including experience with Swiss Tax and VAT
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Swiss GAAP would be desirable, but not essential
• Confidence with MS Office and Excel spreadsheet
• Fluency in English and German is required
• A flexible and energetic approach to work in a fast-paced environment
