Following a period of sustained growth and expansion my client seeks a German speaking Operations Manager to lead their production facility in the Thurgau region. As an innovative and forward thinking business they are looking to lead a change program across their workforce, as Operations Manager you will be well versed with high automation and lean methodology.

As my clients encounter continued enhancement of their order book they are seeking an Operations Manager who can review, challenge and improve day to day operational activities. With experience leading teams through seasonal peak production windows and the challenges this brings, you will apply a positive, motivational leadership approach. Through the workforce you will be able to heighten awareness of best practices, evolve training programs and positively challenge existing processes to allow lean tools and techniques to be implemented.


With full operational responsibility the Operations Manager is tasked with enhancing site performance, driving daily, weekly and monthly KPIs agendas and developing a continuous improvement culture throughout the site. Reporting into the Group COO, you will be a key player in the strategic thinking for the whole organisation.

We are looking for high calibre leaders with the following skill sets:

  • Fluent German is a must
  • Educated to Degree or equivalent level in an technical discipline
  • Certification or evidenced training in Six Sigma (Green Belt minimum) as well as leading projects in a fast paced, high automated environment
  • Experience of leading a site(s) towards improving waste, equipment utilisation and quality
  • Leadership and people management experience is essential - ideally within a change management program
  • As the Operations Manager you will have previously identified, led and successful concluded capital expenditure projects
  • High level of PC literacy, able to organise, plan and innovate, exemplary presentation skills
  • Be proactive in promoting Health and Safety in the working environment
