Job Description

We are currently recruiting on the behalf of a well-known household name, who are searching for an excellent Controller to work within their functional Finance team. In this challenging role, you will act as a business partner and guide the business unit’s management team on financial, regulatory and business decisions, based on meaningful financial data and processes. Providing the opportunity to influence future strategic decisions and shape the organization for the future.

Controller, 80-100%, Bern, Switzerland

You will need to be a flexible, tactical Finance partner to ensure that the business is able to achieve its strategic goals, through providing meaningful management and control tools. This role reports to the Head of Finance and has great visibility to senior leadership.

 Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Take ownership of financial and investment planning.
• Establishing KPIs and control instruments, to ensure that management have good visibility of performance and future objectives.
• Responsible for managing a set of management and control measures.
• Financial reporting and ensuring the operational accounting of the two business units under your responsibility, working with the shared service center.
• Implement suitable measures and processes for effective financial risk management, and for ensuring governance and compliance.
• Manage financial projects required by the leadership team.

Experience required:

• You have a higher degree of education in a Finance-related field.
• Experience within a similar position or suitable experience from a consultancy background.
• A high achiever, who is assertive and has a record of success.
• Have adequate communication, people management and interpersonal skills.
