Job Description

Due to internal progression, we are currently searching for an excellent German-speaking Business Controller to join our client at their headquarters in Bern. The role is working for a large, well-known organization and this role will be part of the management team, taking responsibility for the IT/Technology entity. Acting as a Finance Business Partner to the function, advising the CIO and wider business unit.

Finance Business Partner – IT, Bern, Switzerland

The role will suit someone who is an experienced business partner, that enjoys working with the business towards achieving strategic goals, and being the connecting link between Finance and a division within an organization.

The Business Controller will be responsible for:

• To act as a Finance Business Partner to the CIO and IT function.
• All business unit accounting, controls and cost management.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with regulatory parameters.
• Responsible for financial planning, financial reporting and ensuring the operational accounting within OR/IFRS.
• Improve financial processes, controls and metrics to provide the business unit with the best possible support and visibility.
• Financial oversight and management of the IT team members.

 Experience required:

• You have a higher degree of education in a Finance-related field or formal qualification in Finance, e.g. CIA or CPA or CMA.
• Good knowledge of SAP and IT Systems.
• Strong experience in controlling and a good knowledge of IT.
• Experienced in working within a transformation environment, and able to promote organizational and cultural change.
• Fluent German language essential, with additional languages of English and French preferred.
