My client, a global market leader in the FMCG industry, seeks a Supply Chain Planning Director to be based in Barcelona. As Supply Chain Planning Director you will liaise internally to build planning capabilities within the organisation. You will be responsible for the development of innovative strategic solutions, seeking and utilising market analysis to boost regional strengths across a number of global sites. My client has a dynamic and diverse business model which incorporates a wide range of products which supply a wealth of sectors.

As my client continues to focus on enhancing their Supply Chain Planning strategy to support impressive growth levels, they are offering an excellent opportunity for a proven Supply Chain Planning Director to lead their operational and strategic vision. You will review, challenge and revise their planning strategy on local, regional and global levels to align all areas of the business to achieve corporate synergy and exceed agreed targets.

A key factor to success will involve the training and development of a multinational workforce and will be a key skill you can demonstrate.

As Supply Chain Planning Director we are looking for high calibre leaders with the following skill sets:

  • Educated to Degree / Masters or equivalent level
  • Circa 7 - 10 years’ experience in a leading in a global planning capacity
  • Experience of leading on a global scale, actively coaching, mentoring and challenging existing planning strategies against global standards
  • Strong analytical skills, utilising market information to strengthen in house planning capabilities
  • Leadership and people management experience is essential, ideally throughout a change program  
  • Previously identified, led and successfully concluded strategic planning improvement projects in an FMCG business is also preferred
  • High level of PC literacy, able to organise, plan and innovate, exemplary presentation skills
  • Be proactive in promoting Health and Safety in the working environment
  • Must be willing to travel globally, circa 20-30%, but potentially 40% at times
