Job Description

Are you available from the 1st week of May and interested in working for a market leader in Amsterdam? My client are looking for an experienced Interim International Payroll Specialist (5 months) to join the business on an interim contract to help support the team through a busy transitional period.

Your responsibilities as a Payroll Specialist will evolve around supporting multiple members of the team with various international Payroll tasks, liaising with lots of different external providers and internal stakeholders.

 

Working as an Interim Payroll Specialist in one of Amsterdam's biggest companies, you will report in to the Payroll Team Leader and will have to use your stakeholder management skills and flexible attitude to support multiple partners across the organisation. You could be involved with:

  • Taking responsibility for various areas within international payroll, picking up payroll related tasks across a range of countries and liaising with external providers.
  • Resolving any issues surrounding payroll and ensuring they are managed in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of monthly payroll reconciliations and accrual reports.
  • Support HR in ensuring all information is shared correctly and provide feedback for any ongoing HR projects.
  • Manage payroll approvals and work alongside the finance to team to ensure they are transferred on time correctly.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and SOX requirements.
  • Provide relevant outputs to the finance team to ensure correct reporting.
  • Manage relations with international payroll partners and colleagues.

 

Requirements for the International Payroll Specialist:

  • 2+ years' experience working within a payroll setting.
  • Fluent spoken and written English, additional languages a benefit.
  • Energetic, naturally curious, collaborative and proactive.
  • Team player and versatile.
  • The ability to take responsibility for a Payroll process through from inception to completion.
  • Advanced Excel experienced required (Pivot tables etc.).
