HR Manager - Germany

Karlsruhe Area

 

We are retained on an assignment to recruit a HR Manager - Germany for a global manufacturing business that are investing into their support functions.

 

The role is newly created as part of their strategic growth plan and will report to the HR Director - Europe. There is an opportunity to really add value, improve the employee experience and make a significant contribution to the business.

 

As part of the country leadership team, you will be responsible for the implementation of the people strategy element of the Company Business Plan

You and your HR team will manage the full employee lifecycle for c250 employees across 2 sites to include:

  • Act as a Business Partner to provide advice and guidance on all human resources matters
  • Labour relations and main contact for Works Council
  • Employee engagement & Retention
  • Recruitment and Talent acquisition
  • Manage L&D and apprenticeship scheme
  • Manage Payroll issues and localised compensation and benefits
  • Maintain employee data ensuring full compliance with GDPR for German population
  • Project management - support implementation of new HCM

 

The ideal candidate

  • Previous HR experience ideally in an industrial environment with Works Council present, ideally with Southwest Metal Organisation
  • Qualification in Human Resources or a business-related field
  • Knowledge of German labour law
  • Flexibility to travel (including some overnight stays)
  • Fluent in English & German
  • Someone with a desire to grow and learn
